- I am considering purchasing a C++ development package for non-commercial
- programming purposes. I am quite familiar with C++ programming , however
- the platform I am use to is a propriority one developed at my university.
- A result of this is my severe lack of knowledge of C++ development packages
- on the market. I have a few questions.
-
- 1) Can C++ code written *in* a DOS/Windows 3.1 environment
- be ported *for* other environments like OS/2 and/or Windows95 with
- appropriate compilers?
-
- 2) Are compilers normally a part of a devlopment package? If so,
- are they of high quality for 'general purpose' compiling?
-
- 3) Which is the best package to purchase for my
- purposes?
-
-
- Any comments are appreciated.
